We are creatures of habit - if you wrote down everything you did in a day, for 30 days and entered all of those activities into a spreadsheet, you would be able to identify clear and distinct patterns. You'd find some patterns that serve you well, and some that serve you… eh, not-so-well.

And so speeding up our metabolism, or rate of energy consumption, emerges as a logical remedy. Forget what you may have grown up conditioned to think, you can change the speed at which your body processes food.

This is no get-thin-quick scheme. But with patience and a little discipline, it absolutely, positively works.

I can say this with confidence because I've used the following techniques over the years to get to as low as 4-percent overall bodyfat and to maintain an everyday bodyfat percentage of between 10 and 12 percent.

The methods described are effective whether you are male or female, young or old. They work whether you currently have a fast or slow metabolism. Once again, the key to succeeding is to apply as many of them as you can, apply them consistently and to do it over time.
