Yep, you read that last one correctly. My aim is to teach you what it took me decades to learn. You benefit from all my past mistakes and victories. And then it's my hope that you pass along what you've learned to your friends and loved ones (or refer them to me)!

Of course I'm continuously updating my knowledge - of exercise physiology, of the latest training techniques and nutrition research, and of human psychology. So chances are if you come back for a refresher, you *will* learn something new.

Who am I to talk about fitness?
I've been involved in fitness pursuits, with an emphasis on weight-resistance training, for more than 25 years. I've been a standout scholastic wrestler, a martial arts practitioner, a competitive amateur bodybuilder and an all-around weekend adventurer, among other qualifications, over the years. I am a certified personal trainer with the rigorous International Sports Sciences Association and hold a CPR-certification with the American Red Cross. And of course, I am licensed and insured.

blacksqbullet (1K)Fitness tests to establish your baseline aerobic and anaerobic capacity (treadmill and light weights). We'll ascertain your resting heart rate, maximum heart rate (estimated!), bodyfat percentage and measurements, so that we can chart your progress.

blacksqbullet (1K)Customized Program designed to balance *your* goals, *your* lifestyle, *your* time availability, *your* idea of fun. Most sessions will be in a health club or home gym environment. But some may take place on the bike path, walking path or at the local high school track … the key to fitness success is to always make it intriguing and fun!

blacksqbullet (1K)Regular Progress Summaries in spreadsheet and easy-to-understand graphical format. For maximum results, I recommend 2-3 training sessions per week, depending on your comfort level and independence level with working out. But at a minimum, one 1-on-1 training session weekly.
